Blogging is Back!

I'm banging this mediocre post out in a flash, but more blog posts forthcoming! Expect "yeah she's a decent writer" vibes...if Jack Kerouac-ian rants of "spontaneous prose" (sans benzadrine) are your thing! In my first 2-4 months escorting at 25, a hobby board jerk-off referred to my blog content as the "inane ramblings of a hooker." I'm proud of my random-ass stream-of-consciousness! Sometimes...I can always proofread and edit incoherent content. But escorts are supposed to be spontaneous, fun and entertaining manic pixie dream girls! Sometimes, digs like the aforementioned insult by "chronically online" TER types (when "chronically online" wasn't a term coined by Gen Z yet!), but rarely exacerbated my public panicking when business was bad. As did fear of bad reviews; dry spells often made me check TER for anything new and unflattering, but lulls in biz usually had logical explanations, something I learned over time. A stellar or not-so-stellar review can impact things, but I'm glad to be mostly rid of them.

Anyway, when I was new to this, damn near 3/4 of the men/couples I met in person said my blog sealed the deal! Which is why I should post more here, huh? I've always dreamed of making a respectable, even comfortable, living off of writing and in a way, I've done so during my escorting years...but not truly and with caveats. I can't claim guys seeking companionship/intimacy found me on sites like Eros, TER and P411 and declared "My God, she's a genius! I shall pay her for word counts and the sheer pleasure and intellectual stimulation of her WORDS. Soft young skin and obviously sky-high sex drive be darned!

The heyday of my "Ashleigh" blog posts (AKA "inane ramblings of a hooker") were creative nonfiction and long-form, the same kind of writing I enjoy most in all realms of my life. The posts weren't technically income-generating, or even partially so, yet they were. Indirectly and impurely? Sure. But fruitfully and enjoyably? You bet. Anyway, the heyday of blogging, both my own and in general, is not at its peak like it was in the mid-aughts through 2014-ish, but it's still worth my time, as I know many people curious about booking me aren't comfortable using "X"/Twitter to keep tabs on my up-to-date candid thoughts and photos. While my Twitter has been a great substitute to my blog and even produced great clients on its own, I can't assume everyone interested in booking reads it. Because I've had to build my Ashleigh website from scratch multiple times, I'll figure out ways to try and connect my Twitter feed's latest to my site. I'll also make more effort to add media here. Stay tuned!

My pro bono blogging efforts were truly effortless (and very fun) in my early "Ashleigh" days. The topics, musings, random rants and diverse subjects were 95% relevant to my nascent companionship business, but they weren't generic, robotic, hyper-sexualized, boring or strictly about escort business topics (in often unoriginal ways.) I posted sincere shit and never second-guessed my blog's role; to remind readers I was more than some redheaded ho in her mid-20's who might suit their carnal cravings on a given day. My blog content wasn't just to show discerning clients they could take me out in public without worrying I was a liability. It was to show them the real, albeit filtered, version of me they'd get to know more deeply in person, and at least passively via reading my site and its blog. I've always been surprised how many guys plan ahead or have me on their radar way ahead of inquiring. The men and couples I want to attract see beyond my hair color/length, physical stats, superficial personal facts and "bare bones" info. They're willing to dig and read my website/blog (now Twitter feed) thoroughly. Most do some due diligence and homework and, while many have a "thing" for redheads (I'm from Boston, it was SO common there, given the huge Irish ethnic presence), most are self-proclaimed "sapio-sexuals" who enjoyed how mature and well-read I was for my age at 25 and, I suppose, appreciate how much more well-read and refined I am now, just after my 38th BDay!
